Insurance

  

There are many different insurance plans out there so we do recommend that prior to your appointment you call and verify that we are participating physicians. We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with the specifics of your policy, particularly for our obstetric patients. Copays are expected at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard as methods of payment. Our Insurance department is available from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday and can be reached directly at 757-481-9535. We are not currently accepting any Healthkeepers HMO, Tricare, New Medicare patients or any Medicare HMO’s.

Telephone Calls
We have a wonderful staff who answers the phone from 8:45-4:45 Monday through Friday. We have a triage nurse available during business hours who can answer any questions or schedule an urgent appointment. After business hours, all calls go to our answering service. The on-call physician is available to respond to your emergency medical needs.

If you are calling for a prescription refill we do ask that you call our 24-hour prescription line. Please have the medication name and dosage, as well as the pharmacy name and telephone number. We will request a phone number where we may reach you over the next 24 hours if we have any questions or problems regarding your refill. We do ask that you give us a window of 24-48 hours to call in your prescription. It is most helpful if you know your prescription is going to run out to give a call one week prior. Office Hours
Our office hours are from 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday. We do have a limited amount of early morning 7:00 appointments for those who need them. We see patients by appointment only. If you need to cancel an appointment we do ask that you please give us a 24-hour advance notice.
